As of this morning I am officially a fully enrolled college student. I was accepted at our local university, however after much prayer and consideration I’ve decided to go with an online school instead. I have enrolled with Trinity College & Seminary in their Bachelor’s of Arts program, with a major in Christian Management and Leadership.
Because of the enormous tuition discounts they are currently offering (60% off), the tuition is actually slightly less expensive this year than it would have been if I’d attended KSU. Plus I have the added perk of attending classes in my pj’s if I so choose! I will also be able to continue facilitating my Tuesday morning ladies Bible study group, which I was really going to miss if I’d decided to attend KSU.
I have signed up for my first five classes already and will be starting right after we return from the Dominican Republic on the 11th of May. In addition to their Orientation Tutorial, here are the five classes I’ll be taking this semester:
Introduction to Management and Leadership Theory
Basic Principles of Administration
Approaches to Dealing with Difficult People
Survey of the Old Testament
Survey of the New Testament
The first two classes should be a cake walk since I’ve had a couple of other intro classes in this area, so it will give me a chance to ease my way back into the life of a full time college student! I’m very excited despite being slightly nervous about the whole venture. Although, I’m much more at ease with this plan than I was with actually attending classes at KSU. Their campus and enrollment is so large it was quite intimidating to me. Because I have a few years of work experience under my belt I am desperate to excel in every one of my courses and I won’t accept any grade less than an A in each of them. And I’m motivated to get this program done ASAP since they have a M.B.A. program that looks incredibly interesting to me.
